2008

AISD Summer High School is run in two semesters or sessions.
Students can take one class per semester.

Generally, first semester courses are the first half of a full-credit course (Example: English IA);
second semester courses are the second half of a full-credit course (Example: English IB).

Online registration for summer high school 2008 is now being accepted.

Note: Online registration requires payment by credit or debit card (Mastercard or VISA).
There will be a $5 fee added to online registrations.

Summer High School Sites / Schools

Bowie High School
4103 Slaughter Lane
Serving students from Akins, Austin, Bowie, Crockett and Travis high schools.

Reagan High School
7104 Berkman Drive
Serving students from Anderson, Johnston, Lanier, LBJ, McCallum and Reagan high schools.

Summer High School Dates / Times

All classes will run on a five-day week, Mondays through Fridays.

Semester 1: June 16 - July 3

Semester 2: July 10 - 29

All classes will run 9:15 a.m.- 1:45 p.m.

For seniors graduating in the summer:

Driver Education - Theory classes will be offered at Bowie and Reagan high schools during the summer school session.

Summer High School Tuition

In-District students: $115 per semester
Out-of District students: $250 per semester

Note: Late Registration Fees
"In-District" students registering late will be charged a $35 late fee.
"Out-of-District" students registering late will be charged a $45 late fee.

Payment can be made with cash, money order, or credit/debit card (VISA, MasterCard).

Note: a $5 processing fee will be added to payments paid with credit or debit cards.

No checks will be accepted.

Summer High School Refund Policy

Partial Tuition Refund
A $45 fee per semester course will be assessed for course withdrawal.

Withdrawal requests for the first semester must be submitted on or before June 18.

Second semester withdrawal requests must be submitted on or before July 14.

No refund requests will be accepted after July 14.

Full Tuition Refund
Full refunds of tuition will be provided to students who, upon receipt of their 2007-2008 report card, ascertain that they have already earned credit for the summer school class for which they registered.

To receive a full refund, the student or the parent / guardian must submit a copy of the student’s report card along with an AISD Summer High School Refund Request.

Note: The $5 processing fee for tuition payment made by credit/debit card is not refundable.

All refunds will be mailed during the week of August 18, 2008.

There will be no cash refunds under any circumstances.
